What the world is coming to

What is the world coming to? In the news today, a primary school girl was raped by the school bus driver in front of other children passenger in broad day light. Fortunately for her, passersby heard the screams and came to her rescue. There was a time when these shameful crimes were done in secret but these days madmen emerges in the day. The vampires are no longer afraid of the sun cos they sparkle and not melt. That's the symbolism of today. It's not just a story.

I was just thinking that I would let my future kids ride the school bus so as not to be spoilt, but viewing the circumstances of what's happening today, can I trust that the same might not befall my little girl? And we wonder why more and more parents are willing to wait in the scorching sun, and jam packed roads to pick their kids.

I heard on the radio yesterday that the government is making a move to promote sex within marriage to school children to curb the rising promiscuity and teen pregnancies. They will be linking up with non-government organizations to create awareness as well as do the pledge thing. I would say it's a little too late to be imposing that, but nevertheless good virtues to be keeping. That's one of the good things in this country. Others may call us open minded, but to protect our young and the future generations, these may be a good step to be taken.

On other news, I heard on the radio too (and in the news) that this year has been the hottest in global temperatures ever recorded and it could be long-term. Experts are concerned about this change and some even predicted 12years till the polar ice cap starts to melt. The rise of environmental awareness is now more than just a fad but a serious step to save humanity. The Star says that it is a ticking time bomb, but hey haven't we always? Jesus is coming back soon. Are you ready? The world will end as prophesied.
