Destination : Redang Island, Off Kuala Terrenganu (East Coast) Date : 3rd - 5th May (2D2N) Participants : Paul, Hazel, Esther, Steven, Lavinia, Kin Fei, Winne, Myself
This was our much awaited, much needed BREAK. As short as it was, it was still very much needed for most of us. It was also possibly our last trip together anywhere as our dear Esther and Steven will be leaving us. I went on this trip hoping to rest and to rejuvenate myself: soul mind and body. To prepare myself for the long haul ahead. I knew that if I did not have this time away from everything, I'd not be able to endure the next two months. I wanted to watch the sunrise and feel the breeze on my skin and the hear the waves lapping therapeutically on the shore, and to find God again in his wondrous creation. And I did. yyyaaayyyy!
The sea was crystal clear, the sand was soft and white, the sky was as blue as can be, the scenery was picture perfect. You could lie there all day. Besides the sunburn, mosquitoes and sand flies bites, and various other allergy (everyone had some weird allergies or bites or something or one thing or the other) Much to the rest's disappointment we spent a total of 24hours on the island. LOL. Much to anyone and everyone's shock, that is. And they blamed it on me. Hmph!
What we did on the Redang island (and at Pantai Burok, Kuala Terengganu)?
Snorkel Except for the salt water in my mouth, the itchy contacts in my left eye, the cut that the lifejacket strap gave me, I love snorkeling. Note: Underwater pics were taken with a disposable underwater camera.
Hanging at the Beach Some say the best thing to do is to lie on the beach all day long. Though that's when you get the sunburns, sand fly bites, and other bites. But just lying on the beach chair, under the shade, listening to the waves lapping on the beach, feeling the...... wait, I believe I've said all that already.
Played games When night falls and there's nothing much to do or see, we find that each other's company is sometimes the best thing there is. You'd think we've seen and known each other enough but I guess there's always more.
Seeing that my blogmates have so effective told the tale (and I'm the last to update it), I will save myself the trouble. Kindly check out the only two other bloggers that went: Winne and Hazel for a more amusing and detailed tale of the accidents, the order of things we did, and so on. (I don't know where the find the time to do all that)
I can peacefully (and lazy-ly) end this tale. hehe...

A little souvenir from the trip. Sand fly bites. This was all over my body. ok not ALL over but got la quite a few. The picture below dont do justice. I guess the camera used was not tat good.
The first AG cell conference held in GTPJ with a line up of excellent speakers. I guess cell concept really is sweeping the world. And as they say every concept has its season. What works before may not work today. The method may change but the message is still the same. I have not lived long enough or traveled so much as to see the different kinds of methods implemented in churches around the world, but I hear and I learn. You can learn a lot from the past.
This is the first time I've attended any conference with my dad. I have always gone on my own or with other friends. To me, this conference was special because I got to share it with my dad. I probably will not be able to put into proper words the significance this has on my life and my ministry. But it meant a lot. =)
Here are two video promos I kinda did for announcement recently:
1) Promo for 29:11 (our Young Adult group)
2) Promo for Aspirers (our youth group) -this one I did not actually do. It's the intro from the video we were going to view. I only added "Aspirers" in it.
This is the second Aspirers-sent mission trip, and I have the intention to be on every single one of it for as much as I can. There is something about being on a mission trip that quickens the spirit being of a person. It's not just the thought of going elsewhere (though that is a big plus) but as much as we receive in our Christian life, we need to give. For as water flows into a stream, it has to flow out, less the water becomes stale. And so in giving we learn to live.
This trip was to Kota Bahru, Kelantan - the land in which Eunice dwelt the last one year.
I can only hope that our presence was a blessing and inspiration to the church there. For that reason we came. But personally and as a team, we were blessed as well:
I was blessed to see how faithful and dedicated the people were to the things of God. It was not a question of how much done but how much more they can give. Even young children served with what they have.
I was blessed to know that parents there placed an importance on the things of God and desire to see their children draw closer to God. Study was not the most important thing, and with that the children were blessed in their studies.
We saw God in small things and small ways as well, as He guided us and protected us.
The people were friendly and opened to us though we are outsider - to be honest I at first tot they were not very friendly but saw how they warmed up, starting from the youngest up.
It is of course the job of the bridesmaid to arrange a bridal shower for the bride - whatever that means.
So Lavinia decided we should kidnap Esther in the middle of the night and whisk her away to a hotel for a night of girls-only slumber party. Or rather just a few of the closest girls.
I think we were going easy on her, since Steven was the one tenderly waking her and bringing her blindfolded into the car. *Sweat* But off we went silently to "Labu Hotel" (or so we tell her) so that Esther still did not know who it was. However, Esther was very cool about it and even slept in the car on the way there. It's Steven's fault.
We spent the night drinking Kiwi Shake something, eating egg something and jelly beans. We talked bout random stuff, question Esther bout the whole getting-married-and-moving-to-Australia, and basically laughed our heads of. What did you expect to happen at an all-girls' slumber? I think I'll spare the details.
But here's a short video clip especially for Steven Kuang! hahaha...
The next morning we had a breakfast... farewell? for Esther and Steven at my place. It's just breakfast and friends. But sometimes those are the most precious things rite? Better than a planned event or activity.
On my final day of travelling with Jamie, I spent the entire day with Esther and Steven. And I do mean the entire day. It was the day of their photoshoot and I thought that they'd probably need a maid to pick up after them, watch their personal belongings, make sure they don't give in to whatever the company might suggest, and to ensure they get their fair share of food and water throughout the day.
I can honestly say that I don't think I would like to go through this when I'm getting married. I don't wanna go through this ordeal and I don't need photos of myself in gowns doing strange poses.
Below are some pictures of the shoot.... Here's a small gift for me from that day:
Jamie is the name given to my faithful car. I didn't name it by the way. Valerie did. And I have to explain this every time someone sits my car and sees the pillow with the name sewn on it.
Anyway...
This is the story of Jamie's travels over the weekend....
Saturday
Drove down to Melaka with the YoungAdult gang. Visit a real dusun and played with some Bambi so up close and personal. So cool!!! I think that was the highlight for me. To finally see Bambi (the cartoon I used to love as a child). I think I like all the animals there better than the fruits or plants I saw.
Sunday Drove to USJ to spend the night with Suzy, my ex housemate. Had a great time catching up with old friends. I guess we need to create times like these once in a while to keep us connected.
Note: I lost the rest of the pictures and video I took of Abigail. *crryyyyyy* I knew I shouldn't have deleted them!
Monday Drove onwards to Klang to visit Georginia and her new family. I realized our life has changed so much in such a short time. I guess that's life. Note: I lost all the pictures I took of Char Maine too. *crryyyyyy* My friends, I'm so sorry!! (Displayed picture was downloaded from flickr) Headed to BU to meet up with Esther and Steven after that. Esther had her nails done to prepare for the photoshoot. We met with the designer who showed us our materials, which were quite pleased with. Until he told us the price. I could feel cold sweat rolling down our back.
Tuesday Also droved to PJ to Steven's place. Or more accurately Elaine's place, where I also spent the night. *More story on this day in the next entry.
Wednesday Back to Seremban in the wee hours of the morning in time for work. Managed to beat the jam and arrived home early enough to catch a short snooze before heading to work.
I am pretty proud of this new achievement of mine.
Testimony I wanna thank God for protecting me and Jamie the entire time. I know that it has been Him taking care of my crazy going up and downs. He provided people who would guide me to different places or could draw maps for me. I didn't really get lost at all. He also provided in terms of people paying for my food, friends places to crash in, and all that sort of things. It may seem small to some, but for those who know me, this is quite a big thing. I have, after all, a horrendous sense of direction. =D He is indeed with me always!
A deep question was raised in this year's mini drama. Though everything was brought down a notch, everyone did their very best to throw out one single question to its audience: Does God care?
Actually the drama was quite abstract and some even found it hard to understand. Esp the less English literate. However, many found it to be more stimulating and thought-provoking than our conventional Easter story. And I think they are right. Perhaps it's something we need to look into as a direction of church musicals.
Here are some snippets of the drama. I loved it. It's something we've never done before and it's awesome. The combined effects was awesome - contributed to the total ambiance and story.
But of course the final question is always the same: how many ppl's lives were changed and transformed by it? Sometimes we forget to ask that question. We focused too much on the good show, brilliant performance, etc. But how indeed has it affected lives? How has it changed lives, contributed to the Great Commission, made a difference?
Korean with Bee Ling Date : 3rd April Venue : Sil Ro Am, Tuaku Jaafar
I've never had Korean before. I didn't even know I was about to have Korean. It's true when they say Korean food is cold, spicy, and sour. The food is authenticly Korean, so are the owners.
Am glad I got to try something new. And I made new Korean friends too. Also the opportunity to help and an avenue to share.
Experience: Satisfying! _____ HomeCook Western with IMU students. Date : 5th April Venue : My Home
9 of us altogther and there were so much leftover. Man, they are small eaters! Felt very much relaxed over the mind-boggling ice breakers Ken and Callie introduced us. This is not my first time hosting dinner and probably not my last. Made some new friends.
Experience: Happy and intrigued! ______
Lunch With Shook Yee Date: 6th April Venue: Curry Leave
We sat and talked bout a wide many topics for 2 and 1/2 hours till I realised i'm running late. I don't remember the last time we did this and I don't remember what brought us together like this. But I guess it's as they say, you become a family in Christ.
I can loose weight easily but don't put on so easily. I don't really put on weight to begin with. It's in the genes. High metabolism.
I get migraines and insomnias every now and then - i hear it's in the genes too.
I'm not into shopping though I am female.
Lizards totally freak me out.
I don't watch horror movies. Yea they actually scare me at night or when i'm totally alone.
I'm an organizing freak. I have planners, calendars, to-do lists, journals, all sorts of paper and notes to put what's in my head down. I just need to see it in front of me - especially the bigger picture. I don't really like surprises.
To my surprise I like musicals. Must be from the years of Easter musical production.
The list of things I don't eat is longer than the list of things I do eat. But I think I've improved over the years *beam*
I'm very sentimental.
I love movies! From cartoon to thrillers, japanese anime to soap operas. I enjoy watching traillers and looking at posters, CGI and 3D animation. I love a good plot too. The depth of which I know no bounds.
Have you ever wondered what Jesus really died of? I mean obviously all that scourging and torture but what really killed Jesus? You could physically torture someone but you can't break his/her spirit. With the right amount of love and support, I believe we could endure just about anything. Right to the point of death, we'd still be very much vigorous and "alive". But without it, one could be physically alive yet dead inside.
I think Jesus really died of heartbreak: his close friend(s) betrayed him, denied him, abandoned him. Even his father turned his back on him at the hour he needed the most. Sometimes I think the most cruel means devised by men was not any weapon but an attack to the heart. And you know, everyone is doing it. There are so many people walking around feeling all alone in this world, and heartbroken. Inside they have already died.
Isn't it tragic?
With so much heartbreak in this world, it feels like such a hopeless case. Yet we are all forced on this earth to live and breath. To walk a life we don't understand. Can you hear the cries of the people? So many voices just crying out, seeking for love and attention. So much pain. Souls are dying.
I'm a dreamer. Sometimes I don't know if that's my becoming or undoing. Perhaps both. I can envision things yet to come and thus help in my planning and organizing and yet I can create ridiculous situation in my brain that could destroy my own heart later. It could go both ways.
It's funny how I learned a big lesson from two very silly children's show today alone. 'Sharkboy and Lavagirl' thought me that when dreams become a reality, reality becomes a dream. As in when a dream has been realised and made real, whatever that was real at that time becomes a past and a dream. What happens to a forgotten dream? It's never really forgotten, it can still become real. What do you do with a crushed dream? You just make new ones. Salvage what you still can and make new ones over crushed ones. 'Meet the Robinsons' taught me to keep moving forward instead of being occupied with a failure. Though I've always known all this but somehow today it has more meaning to me than before. (who said movies are a waste of time? LOL)
God knows how to get our attention, doesn't he? God is so creative, the way he reaches and gets personal with us. He'd do whatever it takes to get our attention and remind us. But I guess it's like King David said, better to be in the judgment hands of God than in the enemy's hands, for His mercy is great. So I will take heed.
Time to sweep up shattered dreams, rebuild forgotten ones and new ones. And move forward.
Lord it's time I take my eyes of my own hurts all the time. What I really want or don't get or feelings or things that don't matter as much. I'll leave those in your hands. I need to focus on what's more important. Help me learn to be wholly devoted to you. Help me trust you alone. Help me understand what is in your heart. Let what breaks your heart, break mine.
Agape Gospel Assembly is proud to present a short drama entitled "The Long Silence"This contemporary story begins at the end of time when all of humanity stands before the judgement throne of God, at the brink of eternity. Each bringing before his or her case before God and before all of mankind. Each with his or her own plight.
An intriguing drama that combines the effects of theatrical drama, songs, and dance. An eye opener and a must-see, especially if you are a theatrical and musical fan. Though this year's drama fail to compare to last year's mega event and we did not blow any budgets (and in fact almost forgot publicity), watching the practice alone promised a special one this year. This year, the creative team decided to try something different. The song is written by our very own choir director, Jocelyn Chen-Kwan; the dance took a more abstract and morbid form. The drama itself sees more new and promising actors and actresses on the center front. And as usual everything else from backdrop, costume and makeup, PA and lightings are done internally.
Was on the way out of my house when I saw a full-grown monkey sitting by the road side. Mind you, I don't live in a kampung where monkey freely roam the streets. It's not that I've never seen a monkey before. But what in the world is it doing here and where did it come from? I hope it's not another de-foresting nearby.
(When Bukit Emas area was being de-forested, we saw a lot of snakes, frogs, iguanas, and monkeys in our taman)
Monkey started clambering away when I stopped my car to take this picture. Neighbours must think me mad, stopping suddenly in the middle of the road and all that. Can see?
Who says life has no dramas? Sometimes I wonder if people really make their life more dramatic then it really is or perhaps those soap operas or chinese dramas may not be too far fetched.
My life alone I wouldn't say is very dramatic. Sure, there are a few stories here and there that could become a best seller (or so everyone dreams such of their own life too). But I wouldn't say... particularly... soap opera type. However, people around me have serious dramatic lives. Dramas that could rip your heart out.
Sometimes i wonder why. But, all the world's a stage right? One thing I know, a lot of these dramas are cycles - cycles that can't be broken. How do you break these cycles? These bondages? I see it so many times in so many people. They wonder why. They wonder how to get out.
Can I say I know the answer?
UPDATE: In a world where chaos reign it is hard to see that God is still holding the world together. In a world where sorrow and tears reeks the streets it is hard to hear the unspeakable joy that God floods us with now and then. In a world where darness and gloom overshadows us it is hard to find the light that still pierces the stillness.
If you look you will find that God is there all this while. He never moved an inch. He still cares and He still protects. It is us who walked away. It is us who wont allow him to control our life. It is us who brought turmoil upon our own life. How then can we blame God?
I think I deserve to be sick this time. I kinda brought it upon myself to indulge instead of taking the proper rest I obviously needed at that time.
I've been sick for a week now. Starting with a fever, developing into sore throat and ending not-so-gracefully with flu. I'm currently stuck with the flu part. Though it is not bad enough to keep me in bed, it is also distracting my day-to-day chores.
Sick
Sicker
Sickest
Ughh...
How timely... I missed choir presentation because I had no voice. I'm only forcing myself through each day because I simply need to. Every time I feel better I only get worst.
Ok God, I get the message! I thought I could push the limits of Your grace. Only to find You are still Boss!
Traditionally, Chinese new Year celebrations lasts 15 days, ending with Chap Goh Meh. So this is gonna be one long entry.
Reunion Dinner - Pre CNY This year was Second Uncle's (Andrew,Elaine,Eunice's dad) turn to host dinner. So we ended the lunar new year with a dinner with the family. My grandma, all her sons, and all their kids and some other of her grandkids. This is one of those reunion dinners where I enjoy though all we do is eat, watch tv, and talk. Cos it's such a joy to be with my crazy cousins. Though as eldest grand-daughter, there are some expectations of me: help in the kitchen or serve. But oh well, no harm doing it. Picture compilation was stolen from Winne's site. First Day It was a Sunday, so off to church we went. We had a combined service with the Chinese Department. Preacher was Pastor Henry Liew, translated by his wife. A lot of people couldn't make it to church cos it was, after all, the first day of new year. Us three sisters caught a lot of attention with our cheongsams. We were all too excited to wear them ever since we got it over a month ago. After church, it was back to Uncle's house for our traditional "soh mee" - the best mee in the world. It's a rare type of noodle that you can't just find anywhere and I'm still reminding myself that I have to learn how to make them. The skill shall be passed on. This year is a most memorable and history-making time as the ENTIRE family was back. Yes, ALL. With that we urged everyone to take pictures. Cousins, families, the WHOLE family, and just whole load of picture. Getting ang pow was now secondary. This is making history!! First time ever. After that it was off for our yearly visitation. Few joined us. And even fewer houses we visited. I guess we were getting all. Motivation to go house by house is really lacking this year. it was good to just pig in the air-conditioned living room, snacking in front of the television while laughter rings in our ear. David brought his precious 16k camera and so the snapping began... Second Day I pigged. Slept and watch tv. Third Day This was the Aspirers Open House Day. Not wasting an open house, I invited ex-students cum old friends, some of them I've not seen for ages. My efforts to keep in touch had been diminishing, sad to say. The Aspirers stormed my house. I couldnt decide if it was more like a zoo or a madhouse. But thank God they are good kids and didn't bring the house down. There was abundant of food. Too much in fact. I think we're gonna need a buffet table in this house. Though I was tired, I enjoyed myself thoroughly. It was great to have the youth over for whatever the reason, to just see them together. However, I think I may have arranged it too early. Most people were not back yet. Dinner was in PJ. Mom's side. Dinner with this side of the family often felt foreign and distant. Mostly perhaps because I don't know my cousins well. Good food is almost always guranteed. But I went with a mission to know my cousins a little better. Hard to say how much i succeeded. It was hard because, honestly, I really don't know much. But it was Wei Yee's birthday and the cake was delicious. cappucino or tiramisu from secret recipe. *yum yum* Day Four I continued to pig and sort out things at home. Went for pray meet at nite. Day Five Back to work. Still in CNY mood though.
Day Six We had our CNY celebration at cell by combining Bkt Kaya and Rasah Kemayan Youth Cell at CityPark. We sang and had our little picnic and games right there at the amphitheater... right there in public. It was awesome. Some 30 of us where just there catching the attention of passers-by. The rain did not deter us. We moved into a chalet thingy. For me, I enjoyed the little activity we did best - where we wrote something nice about someone. It's nice to receive encouragements now and then. Totally forgot to take pictures so I ended up with ending pictures - waiting for transport. Day Seven It was Esther's birthday. So I spent all my after-work time with Esther. It has been so very long since I spent that much time with Esther. Her fiance, Steven, had to work and so I thought my company might help. LOL. We just sat in David's room and talked and talked. It was so good. I even had dinner with the Yeows as though I was part of the family. At nite a few of us plus Esther's old school friends went to Starbucks to just sit, drink, talk, and well celebrate her birthday (it was her school fren's surprise tho). Day Eight It's now David's birthday. This two siblings ah... Lavinia, Esther and myself hit the boutiques an hour earlier in search of gowns for Esther's wedding. But nothing satisfied us. There was always something wrong. I had to be the one to try the gowns... and got stuck in one. *paiseh* With aching feet, we went to meet the rest at Chilis for David and Esther's combine celebration. It has been also a long while since we went somewhere for someone's birthday or some sort of celebration. But this time it was on David. He actually paid for all of us. It's actually also his first birthday in a long while where he actually got to celebrate with us. hmm... Day Eleven I went up to KL to meet Alice and introduce her to the KL cell - people just as noisy and crazy. Though i hitched a ride from mom and dad to central, I traveled on my own to meet Alice and Esther. KL is not very safe. The place Lavinia and Esther works is not very safe at all. But i enjoyed myself at the cell dominated by young adults. It felt refreshing to be able to receive and dwell in matters that applies more to me. I dont know how to say it but I really felt .... something. Anyway, while sending me back to Central to meet my parents, Esther took the wrong road and we ended up taking a detour to Kenny Hills, Mt Kiara, Bangsar, Masjid Jamek and God knows where else. I got to see a lot of KL at midnite. Esther, Esther....
No roses or chocolates. No rainbows in the sky or lark singing in the air. The poll shows that Valentine's have truly become a day for business man to reap into. The notion of 'love' have also been distorted. How unfortunate! There are so many versions on how this day really started but I'd like to believe someone actually believed that love was worth celebrating. Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic. But I guess that guy never guessed that it would be what it is today. A day for overpriced roses and candle light dinner. A day for the singles to feel miserable about themselves. But I guess the guy that invented atom bomb didn't see how it was used to take the lives of thousands either.
No, i'm not being a sour grape.
However, my Valentine was spent rather differently.
It was Johanna's birthday. And we surprised her at midnite. Her whole family was in it but she managed to remain clueless. It was fun! Also joined her for her lunch and supper. I think we sang her "Happy Birthday" one too many times. How special it is to have a birthday on Valentines. How easy it is for her future boyfriend to remember. Haha!~
I need to occupy my mind and myself. And I'm glad that it IS occupied. Thank God! He knows what I need and when I need them.
Sunday was occupied shopping with the Louises at Nichii and Isetan, Bkt Bintang. As dead tired as I was at the time, it was actually quite refreshing. Reminds me of what I haven't been doing. I was suppose to go up to KL once a month to hang out and shop or something. I forgot bout that. Well I guess I could start doing it this year.
Note to self: Gotta take mom to Nichii...
Monday was occupied with my personal agenda and a trip down to Melaka just for Sate Celup. David introduced a new place which i DO love. And sate celup is sate celup - it rocks. I'm normally not that crazy, btw.
Makes life interesting, doesn't it? At least I think so =)
I'm totally missing Aspirers first ever Digging in session (a.k.a. discussion session) for a CNY dinner in Klang. No matter how expensive or big or important it is, Aspirers always have its first priority in my heart.
Now that that's settled, my mom's side CNY dinner was held in Crystal Crown Klang. Once a year I get to indulge in expensive food *yum yum* and wine... This is the plus of the dinner for me. I only wish I knew my cousins better then the whole dinner experience might have been better. Nevertheless, we made some awesome progress this year. As everyone grows up (marry, kids, paktoh) people have become more obliging and accomodating (I think).
I pray that doors will be opened. They are still my family. Regardless. And I know one truth: they too are lost without Him.
The long awaited webcam. Wohoo!~"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart." Psalms 37:4 - a reminder! And a video ipod (not sure what to do with this yet... I dont think I need it)
I've been sneezing so badly for the past two morning. Either someone crazily misses me (which I doubt) or i'm falling sick. But only in the mornings. Maybe the dust is settling in and messing with my nose. =P
It seems I keep going back up there. What do u expect? It's the most popular spot in Malaysia, the weather is awesome for a quick getaway and my sister is up there.
Anyway, took a one-day getaway with Callie David Eugene Johanna Lynne Florance Marie and Joshua Hoh. This group wants to play much to my dismay. However, it HAS been ages since I played. So it was quite fun after all. Put my camera to good use.
A few facts:
Did you know the cable car here is the longest in sout east Asia?
Did you know it takes approximately 3 hours from Seremban to Genting by public transportation?
Did you know you can get a bus + cable car ticket package to Genting at KL Central?
Did you know the indoor roller coaster thing had split into two during a ride and they had to put the emergency brake and go up to talk people into climbing down?
Did you know Genting Burger King is really quite bad?
I always wanna see a greater and higher purpose in every trip I go, every event I'm involved in. I just dislike monotony and meaningless-ness. Like King Solomon said in Ecclesiastes, everything is meaningless. You can chase money and people and position and materials all your life and still find life meaningless. I can't stand to live like that. I want to see a greater purpose and God's hands in everything. Good or bad.
This trip I had the opportunity to help a Taiwanese couple to buy tickets to Genting. Florance and I spent time talking to them on the bus on the way up about places to visit, things they should do, how to get around, and things like that. And I love helping people! And it's an awesome feeling to know you've made life easier for someone, that you've just been a blessing to someone, you've just been used by God (by using your hands, legs, mouth, etc) to reach out into someone's life. Though we went our separate ways later on, it still feels good. I pray that God will protect them throughout their visit here and take care of their baby back home!
It started out as a very normal and casual idea. Hey guys, lets play badminton tomorrow since its a public holiday. After making some very simple arrangements with like 5 people, I just left it at that. Contented I have something to do and WITH the youth.
When I arrive at Louis' residence, I was taken aback. The news had sppprreeaaddd.... The final count was 13 youths. How do you play badminton on one court with that many people? We started by playing doubles, then triples, soon it was five-on-five *sweat* Don't ask me how they managed. You figure....
We also played outside on the playground (cos the dogs kept eating shuttlecocks) with the neighbourhood kids. I think that was GOOD. i got my exercise with Vanessa! Thanks babes. My muscles actually ached after that. =(
Let's do it again soon. Yes it's been playing on my month for some months. And yes, I will think bout an Aspirers Sports Day. But no, I don't want to swim.
These youth are slightly crazy. But I think they learnt from our group. Cos our groups was kinda mad too. LOL!
After all the hustle and bustle, Agapeline is finally at the print. But due to some circumstances, I find myself standing at the publishing house on a public holiday, righting the wrongs. Sigh!
But on the bright side, I got to witness the process of publishing. Now that is cool.
First you check against the mockup copy. Convert the files accordingly and prepare it for print.
Then you print it on transparency sheets and cut them accordingly. Colour pages have for sheets (for CMYK each)
Then you use this large machine to print the colours onto the frames.
The rest of the process I did not get to observe. If I were brave enough, I'd have followed the guy behind to watch. But it's me! What a waste... I only know it involved water. hahah...
And Agapeline Jan 07 issue was formed: Note: to get a copy, please ask from the church ushers. If you are far away or not from Agape and would like to have a copy. Please contact me. I'll try to send a copy to you or mail you the PDF version (which is very big)
